Diffusion
Growing up in Vancouver, BC I spent many a weekend walking through the Endowment Lands, or as it is called today, Pacific Spirit Park. As you walk the sun shines through the trees with a wonderful diaphanous light that is so beautiful that I wanted to try to capture that light.
Did I succeed? I would love to hear your comments.

Just for Fun
I am a big fan of "practice makes perfect" and as such try to do some sculpting, painting or drawing everyday. My little fruit and veggie pieces are just that, fun whimsical pieces that keep my skills honed and improving on a daily basis.
Here is an Eggplant that I created actually last week. I am listing this piece on Ebay tonight with a starting bid on $.01 - like I said, I've made this just for fun so I might as well be a bit crazy with the starting bid!
I love bright bold colour and sometimes fear that my work is too "Loud" because I rarely mute my colours preferring the pigments to be true. I think it works with the whimsy. What do you think?

Reflections
Like looking into a pool of water, nature's seasonal changes are a reflection of our own personal changing, evolving and growing from chapter to chapter in our lives.
I like the softness of the colour palette I chose and the combination of the smooth glass like texture of the pool of water coupled with the rugged texture of the tree trunks, and leaves.
There is a gentleness to this piece. I find that when I step back and gaze upon it I feel a sense of calm wash over me. Do you get that feeling too?
